FACILITIES MANAGER - Competitive Salary

Terra Verde Resort is looking for a great candidate to fill our newly created role as Facilities Manager. The qualified person will be proactive, organized, accountable, possess strong leadership and communication skills, have vast knowledge of property maintenance.  5+ years of facilities experience and 2+ years being in a leadership role. Terra Verde Resort is a fast paced, high-energy, sought-after vacation rental community in central Florida welcoming over 40,000 vacationers annually, from all over the world. The facilities manager will be responsible for all Terra Verde Resort Master HOA property, not individual homes or townhomes.


    • Oversee resort facilities including maintenance, housekeeping, and light landscaping.
    • Responsible for hiring, training, evaluation, and scheduling of the facilities team.
    • Foster positive work environment with a growth.
    • Create and implement “Best Practices”, maintenance projects and timelines.
    • Maintain and keep inventory and records on all resort owned equipment, repairs and warranties.
    • Improve workforce and financial efficiency, reduce wasteful costs.
    • Perform general maintenance, preventative maintenance, daily resort common area inspections and repairs, delegate appropriately.
    • Light electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, minor road maintenance of private resort roads etc.
    • Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
    • Oversee health of potted landscape around clubhouse and in enclosed pool deck.
    • Knowledge and experience using power tools such as drills, saws, pressure washing equipment.
    • Maintain the resort amenities including sports courts, mini golf, tennis courts, pool deck.
    • Communicate all needed supplies to the resort property manager.
    • Install and/or oversee mulch, rocks, sand installation.
    • Oversee door/curb trash program.
    • Storm prep and clean up during hurricane season.
    • Oversee lake maintenance contract.
    • Maintain the facilities of leased on site tiki bar.
    • Audio/visual maintenance around clubhouse, pool deck.
    • Set up for board meetings and resort events.
    • Communicate with vendors as needed.
    • Other projects and duties as needed.
    • Flexibility with duties and roles, willingness to step in when needed occasionally lead resort in absence of Property Management.
    • Co-Manage the resort with the Property Manager and BOD.


    • Must possess proven leadership skills and foster a positive working environment.
    • Good customer service and communication skills required, occasional direct engagement with guests and owners.
    • Must be able to think quickly and find solutions.
    • Communicate and negotiate with vendors as needed.
    • Co-manage Resort with Resort Property Manager.


    • 5+ years maintenance experience.
    • 2+ years in leadership position.
    • Certified pool contractor (CPC) license highly desired but not required
    • Familiarity with Federal, State and Local safety guidelines
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety requirements, operation and maintenance, record-keeping systems.
    • Computer skills including email and apps for research, communication, ordering and documentation.
    • Bi-lingual preferred.
